Baby Teeth are Important

I have a missing tooth. There use to be a baby tooth there. It lasted a while, almost 25 years. A permanant tooth never developed so obviously the goal was to keep the baby tooth there as long as possible. Earlier this year the baby tooth filling was starting to fall apart - mind you it was like 75% filling 25% tooth. So this was a problem. I had to have it extracted. Well this empty space in my mouth hasn't been an issue till yesterday. I guess I ate something hard and the gum got scratched. ow.
