i want to close my eyes

Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes

This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose

Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over

This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose

Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes

This is your life are you who you want to be
This is your life are you who you want to be

This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose

And you had everything to lose

back in action!

got back from our vacation from the east coast. Boston, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York City. it was a great trip visiting all the sites and seeing family. vacation rocks! even better when you find out your pending department presentation the week you get back is postponed!

here are some things i found out on my trip.

i love boston common.
i love east coast pizza...mmmmm thin crust.
i dig the T and the metro.
tulips are in season (at least in Boston and NYC)
in april - you still need to pack for all types of weather
walk symbol at a cross walk means walk
red hand at a cross walk means walk
taxis driving full force down the street means you're gonna die if you walk
NYC skyline does look strange without WTC =(

during our trip to NYC we happen to overlap with the tribeca film festival and the 2006 NFL draft. my friend in NYC was lucky enough to see reggie bush on the streets getting interviewed. but what up with the picks this year? I wouldn't call myself a USC fan but we need the Pac-10 love come on!

TriBeCa actually means "triangle below canal" which i also learned on this trip. we were able to see "new york waiting" a great movie about love, chance and change. it's a movie with a timeline of like 36 hours and there are mainly 3+1 characters in the whole story. it was beautiful and insightful when it comes to love and meeting people.

jetblue is awesome! i love the live tv broadcasts although it always keeps me from sleeping on the plane. it was wierd because i woke up somewhere around colorado and just in time to see the show about some of the survivors of 9/11 and then the premire of "flight 93". now coming from a plane that took off from JFK and leaving NYC its a little strange. i noticed none of the other passengers were watching.. does that make me morbid? but anyways the real craziness of it was as the movie progressed it was very emotional and i tried not to feel it too much. but almost in exact sync with our plane landing, flight 93 crashed landed. i am not kidding. as we pulled into the gate the movie ended. eerie.
