An Inconvenient Truth

Yesterday some of us saw the movie An Inconvenient Truth- aka the Al Gore movie. It was great. Very informative and very truthful- hey pictures don't lie. Sadly enough the info that Al Gore speaks about is true IMO. It was eye awakening to hear about all the different aspects to how our earth is getting destroyed by US! Whether we like it or not we are growing in population and the demands we put on the earth are increasing. As a leading country in mutiple aspects I do believe we should be the leader in addressing these issues. Even if its all hokey... what harm would it do us to be more environmentally concious.

I encourage everyone to go out and see the movie. its playing in many theatres..

Also please visit the website that the movie advocates climatecrisis.net

disclaimer- there's some political propaganda but why wouldn't there be.
most of it is about the environment

oh yeah .. if you like some fun here's Al Gore being humorous on SNL a few months back

sleep is good for you

At our last Family Camp Retreat my camp roommate and I concluded that as we get older denying oneself of the physiological necessities become more and more apparent. I'll give you some examples- albeit not really the ones we brought up..

food- namely ice cream. its very important to eat atleast a little bit every so often. it does wonders for social life, moral, general well being. I myself am partial to chocolate coffee sorts of ice cream with a hint of coconut.
drink- i'd say the regular beer, glass of wine or mixed drinks (during the real tough days) are super important for when life is just twisting your arm and you can't take the pain anymore. just one drink at time though.
laughter- well good for the abs and for the face.. helps people be more attractive and more appealing to be around.
sleep- definitely the most important. especially good during the 2-4pm hours. helps reengerize and aids in resting the body from the vertical position. i recommend more than 4-5 hours a night.

roller coasters and disneyland

so i haven't been to disneyland in like 12 years.
for the most part its pretty much the same.
you know mickey mouse ears, long lines, expensive food
they did implement this fast track thing where
you get a pass for a designated time and you cut
through the line. that was awesome.
the best new ride by far was Buzz LightYear
super fun and interactive
I still like Indiana Jones.
BUT
the best was Space Mountain.
Ive never been on it and didn't even know what to
expect out of it. I was a little nervous cuz i
am not that into rollercoasters.
but it was a BLAST. no pun intended.
I hope they keep that around cuz in 2016 i want
to go on it again! check out some specs on it here
